ABOUT FOODMANAC

Food information made clearer

Foodmanac is a food-data platform that helps people search foods, understand nutrient values and explore documented sources without turning nutrition into confusing jargon.

OUR PURPOSE

Make reliable food data easier to use

Food databases are valuable, but their records, units and source types can be difficult to interpret. Foodmanac organizes those records into practical tools for searching, comparing and learning.

It is designed for curious consumers, students, educators, food professionals and anyone who wants to understand what a source actually reports about a food.

01

Search clearly

Explore 13,595 food records by name, category and preparation.

02

Compare consistently

Review foods on a shared 100-gram reference before considering real-life portions.

03

Check the source

See where a record came from and whether a nutrient value is measured or missing.

04

Learn responsibly

Use plain-language guides while keeping medical decisions with qualified professionals.

THE DATA FOUNDATION

Built from documented public sources

The current catalogue combines selected USDA FoodData Central Foundation Foods, SR Legacy and FNDDS records, with source references preserved in the database. Foodmanac does not silently replace missing nutrient values with zero.
